Areas We Can Work On Together
Maybe you already know something needs to shift… you're just not sure where to start. Here's a little more about the specific things we can explore together.
Whether you're untangling patterns that have followed you for years, figuring out who you are outside of others' expectations, or just trying to show up differently in your relationships - there's space for all of it here.
Perfectionism
You set high standards for yourself… maybe you always have. But there's a difference between healthy ambition and the kind of perfectionism that leaves you exhausted, afraid to fail, and never quite feeling like enough. Perfectionism often has roots in cultural expectations, family dynamics, or early experiences of having to earn love or approval. In therapy, we'll gently explore where it comes from, what it's been protecting you from, and how to build a relationship with yourself that isn't contingent on getting everything right.
Self-Esteem & Identity
Low self-esteem doesn't always look like obvious insecurity. Sometimes it looks like constantly second-guessing yourself, shrinking in rooms where you deserve to take up space, or not really knowing what you want separate from what others expect. Identity work is at the heart of what I do - helping you get clear on your values, your story, and what it means to live as authentically you. This work is especially meaningful for those navigating the intersection of multiple identities, cultural, familial, personal, and figuring out how they all fit together.
BIPOC & Asian American Mental Health
There are layers to what you carry that not every therapist will understand. The pressure to succeed, to not burden your family, to be grateful, to assimilate - while also holding onto where you come from. The experience of existing between cultures, or feeling like you don't fully belong in either. The way intergenerational patterns and cultural expectations show up quietly in your daily life and relationships. I offer a space that is culturally affirming, not just culturally aware. I don't need you to explain or justify your experience. We'll work at whatever pace feels right, and I'll show up as a thoughtful, present partner in that process.
Relationships & Communication
So many of the things we struggle with - saying no, asking for what we need, staying in relationships that aren't working, or feeling disconnected even from people we love - come back to how we learned to relate to others. Whether it's a romantic partnership, a friendship, or a family dynamic, therapy can help you understand your patterns, find your voice, and build relationships that actually feel good to be in. We'll work on communication, boundaries, and what healthy connection looks and feels like for you specifically.
Anxiety
Anxiety often tags along with perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the pressure to have it all figured out. If your mind is constantly busy, you're bracing for things to go wrong, or you feel a persistent low hum of worry; that's worth paying attention to. We'll work on understanding what your anxiety is trying to tell you and build practical, sustainable ways to find more ease.
Life Transitions
Starting a new chapter - a career shift, the end of a relationship, moving somewhere new, figuring out who you are in your 20s or 30s - can feel exciting and destabilizing at the same time. Transitions often bring up big questions about identity and direction. I love helping clients use these moments not just to cope, but to get genuinely clearer on what they want their life to look and feel like.
