About Me

Hi, my name is Linh-ly - and I'm so glad you found your way here.

Maybe you've spent a long time putting everyone else first. Maybe you hold yourself to impossibly high standards, or you're not quite sure who you are outside of the roles you play: the dutiful daughter, the overachieving student, the one who always keeps it together. If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate based in Houston, TX, and I work with adults who are ready to get to know themselves more deeply - their values, their voice, and what they actually need.

A little about my background:

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from HCU and a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University (2023). I have experience working in private practice settings with adults navigating a wide range of life experiences

Who I love working with:

I have a deep commitment to working with BIPOC and Asian American communities. So much of what my clients carry - the perfectionism, the self-doubt, the difficulty asking for what they need - makes complete sense when you consider the cultural messages and family expectations they've grown up with. I get it, and I don't take that lightly.

In our work together, we might explore:

  • Who you are beyond others' expectations of you

  • What you truly value, and whether you're actually living by it

  • How to set boundaries that feel authentic, not scripted

  • How to communicate more confidently in your relationships, romantic and platonic

  • Patterns of perfectionism and people-pleasing that are keeping you stuck

  • Self-esteem and your relationship with yourself

How I work:

I take a warm, collaborative approach grounded in person-centered therapy - meaning you lead, and I follow your pace. I draw from CBT, DBT, IFS, psychodynamic therapy, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing depending on what feels most useful for you. There's no one-size-fits-all here.

Most importantly, I want the therapy room to be a place where you feel genuinely seen - not judged, not rushed, not told who to be. Just heard.

Your first 15-minute consultation is free. I'd love to connect.
